If you answered yes, then this could be the opportunity for you! An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably experienced therapist to join Core Therapies as a Therapy Service Lead with a portfolio in Neurosciences and Major Trauma.

You will be well-supported by the Core Therapies senior leadership team and will be provided with opportunity to develop and grow into a senior leader of the future.

You will lead the delivery of our Neurosciences and Major Trauma services. You will work closely with the current Clinical Leads to drive clinical excellence and develop a supportive culture where learning is encouraged and research can flourish.

You will have strong links with other Therapy Service leads within Core Therapies as well as the Head of Occupational Therapy and Head of Physiotherapy , working seamlessly to drive the therapy vision forwards in the Trust.

### Main duties of the job

As a Therapy Service Lead you will work across professional and organisational boundaries to expand and develop the therapy services and act as a point of contact for advice on professional and operational issues.

In this role you will be responsible for the assurance of high standards of clinical governance and demonstrable best practice across the therapy services, ensuring high quality therapy for patients. You will also promote a culture of continuous improvement using local and national data to enhance clinical practice, service delivery, efficiency and performance.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Duties to include but not be limited to:

- You will be responsible for leading the delivery of our Therapy Services alongside your Therapy Lead colleagues.
- To lead the therapy teams ensuring all members are practicing effectively within agreed standards and competency frameworks.
- To work closely alongside the senior therapy leadership team to provide cohesive and efficient therapy services.
- To implement innovative models of service delivery in partnership with key stakeholders and community partners utilising continuous Improvement methodology.
- To actively participate in meetings in regard to a number of aspects of service delivery and professional support.
- To provide regular supervision to clinical lead therapists.
- To ensure the service meets local and national standards as well as clinical governance requirements.
- To identify professional and operational issues that need to be addressed at a strategic level.
- To successfully use advanced communication and change management skills to implement changes in work structure.
- To support learning and development opportunities for therapists and therapy assistants to support service delivery and provide professional development opportunities.
- To ensure that professional, departmental and trust standards, policies and procedures are adhered to.

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Significant and varied experience in Leadership
- Significant and varied experience in clinical governance and application to practice and service delivery
- Significant and varied experience in workforce management including: recruitment and selection, staff development and performance management
- Significant and varied experience in leading audit activity
- Significant and varied experience in implementing national, local and professional health service agendas
- Significant and varied experience in clinical settings

**Desirable**

- Experience working in a therapy setting
- Integrated clinical working
- Multi-professional team leadership
- Knowledge of budgetary management
- Participation in business planning/ contribution to business case development
- Participation in strategic workforce planning
- Knowledge of commissioning and procurement processes

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered
- Post graduate training, level 7 study.
- Leadership/Management training
- Recent relevant Continuous Professional Development

**Desirable**

- Member of professional body
- Masters qualification attained
- Project management experience
