We are pleased to welcome applications from skilled First Contact Practitioners with proven leadership experience for the position of Therapy Lead within our First Contact Practitioner service. The post is opened to those with professional registration to the HCPC and will report directly to the MSK Care Group Operational Manager.

The FCP Therapy Lead has responsibility for the operational management of the FCP service, driving quality, safety and standards of care. An understanding and the ability to deliver services across professions and integrated pathways is essential. You will be able to deliver service improvement initiatives and support delivery of evidence-based care. With strong leadership and people management skills you will be able to address a variety of people management related issues and be actively involved in addressing complaints, concerns ensuring a learning culture is in place

As a successful candidate you will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to negotiate and manage conflicting priorities. You should have leadership experience and will be given opportunity to develop this within your role. The ability to develop, establish and maintain positive relationships with others both internally and externally to the NHS is essential, as is the need to be resilient, confident, and committed.

The role is 22.5 hours per week and based on a working pattern Monday - Friday.

- To be responsible for the day to day operational management and co-ordination of services, ensuring the provision is efficient, effective and solution-focussed
- To implement and maintain an effective system of  line management within Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust FCP service.
