This role is suitable for an experienced therapy assistant who meets the requirements to start at Band 4, or as a developmental role for someone wishing to work towards this band.  Developmental post holders will begin at the appropriate entry band and progress to a Band 4 TAP following successful completion of the Level 5 Foundation degree in health studies and development of relevant knowledge, skills and competencies related to the role of AAC TAP. The Electronic Assistive Technology (EAT) Service is a specialised centre for the assessment and provision of AAC, Environmental Controls (EC) and Computer Access within the East Midlands. We are a multi-disciplinary team based in North Hykeham  but travelling across the East Midlands including Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes. We work with both adults and children in a range of settings including patient’s homes, day centres, schools, colleges. ### Main duties of the job The main roles of the post will be: - To independently install prescribed AAC systems with patients and deliver standardised training packages to the patient, their carers, family and others in a range of community settings.
