We are seeking  highly motivated, caring and experienced therapeutic radiographers with excellent technical skills in treatment and image guided radiotherapy, to lead a team of radiographers to deliver exceptional patient centred services.

-one full-time permanent position, and

-two full-time fixed term positions

The departments routinely operates an extended day working 7:45am - 8pm and shift patterns apply. Bank holiday and weekend working take place in line with the department and service operational needs. Participation on the on-call rota is a requirement of this post.

To join the leadership team in Treatment to effectively deliver the service with the support of the Section and Operational Lead radiographers. To maintain excellent patient centred care at all times in line with the trust values.

To uphold high standards of accuracy and quality in all aspects of treatment, including advanced treatment delivery and imaging techniques, eg IG-IMRT, SABR, SRS and TSEBT.

To ensure that junior and student radiographers are supported in their learning and to drive service development.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Demonstrate high levels of hand, eye and sensory co-ordination to ensure precise patient set-ups.
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team.
- Demonstrate Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate staff to achieve their full potential.
- Demonstrate a high level of Communication skills, including the ability to deal with sensitive information & to deal with anxious and demanding patients using tact and persuasive skills
- Demonstrate Problem solving and Decision Making abilities.
- Demonstrate an ability to work under pressure, in an unpredictable working environment, maintaining a calm and professional attitude
- Demonstrate a good level of theoretical skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the current Radiation Regulations
- Demonstrate organisational abilities and good time management skills.
- Demonstrate recognition of the increase in Responsibilities the post will entail.

**Desirable**

- Demonstrate knowledge of QA in Radiotherapy.

### Previous Experience

**Essential**

- Substantial experience of working as a Senior Radiographer/Band 6 in a Radiotherapy department to include work on a wide range of Radiotherapy equipment.
- Demonstrable experience on Linacs, CT Scanner & SXT and a willingness to work in all other areas as required.

**Desirable**

- Experience/knowledge of Radiotherapy planning
- Experience of teaching and training in the work setting
- Demonstrate experience on a wide range advanced Radiotherapy techniques eg SABR, DIBH

### Additional Information

**Essential**

- Demonstrate the willingness to work flexible hours including on call duties.
- Demonstrate a willingness to participate in student training.

**Desirable**

- Evidence of recent CPD activity

### Knowledge/ Qualifications

**Essential**

- BSc or DCR (T)
- Postgraduate diploma or equivalent knowledge of a range of work procedures and practices underpinned by relevant practical experience
- HCPC registration

**Desirable**

- MSc in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
- Management or Leadership qualification
