You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high standards of perioperative care across a wide range of surgical specialities within a fast paced acute theatre environment. This role is ideal for a newly qualified or early-career practitioner looking to develop skills within a supportive and progressive department. ### Main duties of the job Provide high-quality, patient-centreed care within the perioperative environment. Work effectively within the scrub team, preparing and maintaining sterile fields. Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties. Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables are prepared and available. Maintain compliance with infection prevention and control policies. Participate in the WHO surgical safe checklist and ensure patient safety at all times. Support the safe transfer and positioning of patients within theatre. Act as a circulating practitioner when required. Contribute to the smooth running of the theatre lists and effective use of resources. Escalate concerns appropriately to senior staff.
