### Job overview

The Theatre Aide supports the multidisciplinary operating theatre team in delivering safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing Orthopaedic surgery. Working under the supervision of registered theatre practitioners, the role involves assisting with patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, maintaining a clean and safe theatre environment, supporting infection prevention and equipment management, and completing basic administrative tasks. The post requires strong teamwork, effective communication, a commitment to patient dignity and confidentiality, and a willingness to learn theatre practices while adhering to NHS policies, health and safety standards, and continuous professional development.

Provides support to the multidisciplinary theatre team by maintaining a clean and organised environment, assisting with the handling and storage of supplies, cleaning equipment in line with infection control standards, managing telephone and administrative duties, and supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of theatre services.
