We are seeking a highly motivated Temporary Staffing Administrator to join the Bristol NHS Group Temporary Staffing Service. In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide administrative and operational support across our temporary staffing functions, helping to ensure safe, effective and efficient staffing solutions are delivered across the organisation.

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will support the deployment of bank and agency workers, assist with governance and compliance activities, and provide excellent customer service to a wide range of stakeholders. You will be a key point of contact for temporary staffing enquiries, managing high volumes of calls, emails and system updates while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, experience working in a busy administrative environment, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Previous experience in temporary staffing administration or customer service environments would be advantageous. ### Main duties of the job

You will assist with the coordination and deployment of temporary staff, ensuring staffing requests are processed efficiently and in line with organisational policies and national guidance. This includes liaising with wards and departments, matching available workers to shifts, supporting the booking and movement of staff, and maintaining effective communication with all parties involved.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Temporary Staffing Team, contribute ideas for service improvement and ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with information governance requirements and Trust policies. This is a varied role requiring strong organisational skills, adaptability and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Temporary Staffing Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Temporary Staffing Service, ensuring the efficient operation of staffing processes across multiple trusts within Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will support a range of service functions including staffing coordination, customer service, workforce administration, governance and compliance activities. Responsibilities may vary according to service demand, and the successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly across the team following appropriate training and support.

The post holder will respond to a high volume of telephone and email enquiries, providing advice and guidance to temporary workers, managers, departments and agency suppliers. They will maintain accurate electronic records, update temporary staffing systems, process staffing requests, support shift allocation activities and ensure all information is recorded in a timely and accurate manner. - English and Maths GCSE (Grade 5 or above) or equivalent level or experience
- Business Admin NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience

### Knowledge and Experience

- Excellent customer service experience, including handling queries, complaints, and sensitive information
- Proven accuracy in both written and verbal communication, with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, maintaining a high standard of customer service despite frequent interruptions or urgent demands
- Confident user of Microsoft Office applications and related software, including databases and spreadsheets, with experience inputting and updating electronic records
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and sound judgement to deliver a responsive, customer-focused service
