At our Birmingham Telemedicine hub, we are looking for a Telemedical Lead Nurse or Midwife who is passionate about women's health and dedicated to providing exceptional care to our clients. As a Lead Nurse or Midwife you will provide abortion and sexual health information, pre-treatment assessment and treatment to clients in a supportive manner. The post holder will lead, manage and mentor a remote clinical team of nurses and midwives involved in the provision of the telemedical termination service. You will also deputise in the absence of the Treatment Unit Manager. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Friday. Based at our Birmingham hub, once trained, this role will involve a mixture of hub and home working. More will be discussed at interview. ### Main duties of the job - To deliver high standards of telemedical care in accordance with NMC Guidelines for Professional Practice, and to promote the safety and well-being of clients at all times. - Ensure that the client understands her options in relation to the pregnancy &, if choosing termination, meets the ground of the Abortion Act. - To co-ordinate clinicians to meet the needs of the service and contribute to the identification of efficient staffing levels and manage human resources effectively. - To assist the Unit Manager in setting budgets for the Unit and in ensuring that CQC standards are maintained. - To audit client pathways and practitioners to ensure compliance with BPAS policies, and implement/review action plans where required. About You You will be a Registered Adult Nurse Level 1 or Midwife (practising) who has experience of working within a clinical environment, where you have supervised or managed other clinical staff. You will have experience of working to guidelines, policies and procedures, and also have experience of completing client documentation.
