Based at Rochdale Infirmary, this is a Trust-wide role requiring work across multiple NCA sites and community services. You will be part of a multi-professional Medical Devices Team delivering engineering, governance, and training support across various care settings. Applicants should hold a minimum HNC in electronics or a clinical engineering qualification, with experience maintaining hospital medical equipment and a willingness to develop across a wide range of specialities. Candidates with limited experience may be appointed at a lower band (Band 4) with a structured development plan to progress to Band 5. Previous applicants within the last 3 months need not apply. ### Main duties of the job A brief overview of what your day to day duties will include are listed below: - Carrying out routine maintenance on a wide range of medical equipment. - Investigating and repairing medical equipment reported as faulty. - Updating evidence of work done on an equipment database. - Driving to community sites to collect, deliver, service and repair medical equipment. - Assisting with the commissioning of new medical equipment. This includes testing and configuring of new medical equipment before it - is released for clinical use. - Supporting users of medical equipment to make the best use of these assets.
