We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, compassionate, & highly motivated  Team Leader Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly team at the OXFORD CANCER CENTRE.

Patients are at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking for Radiographers who are dedicated to delivering care with both compassion and respect. Our department is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including Varian Halcyons, Varian TrueBeams incl. 6DoF, RGSC and SRS capability, Siemens CT GoSims, and HDR all networked by ARIA. We are a multi-site centre with satellites in Swindon & Milton Keynes – 3 sites, 1 team!

### Main duties of the job

To be primarily responsible for leading and co-ordinating the day-to-day clinical operations of the linac in accordance with the policies of the department and trust.

Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring patients have accurate and consistent planning and treatment

Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.

Support and train members of the team to maintain and develop professional and personal skills and standards

Assist the Pre-Treatment and Treatment Lead Radiographers and Radiotherapy Satellite Operational Manager in the implementation of change within the radiotherapy service.

Provide expert advice on treatment procedures and treatment related side effects and their management to patients and their carers.

To liaise with other disciplines to ensure total coverage in all aspects of patient care.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Participation in radiotherapy development work
- Previous NHS experience in Radiotherapy
- Relevant Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer experience
- Team management experience

**Desirable**

- Participation in the implementation of a change in practice/new equipment
- Experience using Varian/Aria equipment
- Participation in research

### Education/Qualifications

**Essential**

- - HCPC registration
- - BSc Radiotherapy

**Desirable**

- - Educated to Master (radiotherapy) level or equivalent knowledge in area related to role

### Skills, Knowledge and Abilitie

**Essential**

- - Ability to work as a member of a team, and /or autonomously
- - Leadership, organisational and decision making skills skills
- - Good interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work well within a team environment
- - Knowledge and experience of advanced and complex treatment techniques
