### Job overview

We are looking for a motivated, organised and enthusiastic Team-Based Administrator to join our friendly and supportive Children's Dietetics Service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting dietitians and ensuring children, young people and their families receive high-quality care. The role is based at Sir Robert Peel Hospital Tamworth and is for 30 hours per week covering weekdays (excluding bank holidays).

As the first point of contact you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the team of clinicians with the Children’s Dietetics Service. Working with colleagues and independently within the team you will ensure efficient administrative processes, maintain accurate records, coordinate appointments and meetings, and provide excellent customer service to children, young people, families, and partner agencies.

Your contribution will be invaluable in supporting the delivery of a responsive and effective service.

The post holder will contribute to the smooth running of the service by supporting clinical pathways, workforce administration, data quality, and continuous service improvement while adhering to Trust policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinical teams
- Act as a key point of contact for children, young people, families, carers and professionals, responding to enquiries professionally and escalating issues where appropriate.
- Manage telephone calls, emails and enquiries professionally and courteously.
- Process referrals and support waiting list management.
- Book, rearrange and cancel patient appointments using clinical record systems (i.e. Rio).
- Maintain accurate patient records on electronic patient record systems in line with MPFT policies and procedures.
- Support Team Leader to produce reports, statistics and documentation to support service performance and quality standards.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous administration support role including dealing with telephone enq timely
- experience of dealing sensitive/distressing issues
- Data input experience

**Desirable**

- Experience using Rio

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- GCSE Grade C or equivalent
- Work/Text Processing Level III or equivalent
- ECDL/CLAIT IT qualification or equivalent

**Desirable**

- NVQ Level III Business Administration
- Audio typing experience

### Knowledge and personal attributes
