### Main duties of the job

As a Systemic Family Therapist at Elysium Healthcare, you will work part-time for Dunnock View, helping men and women who have experienced trauma and have mental health disorders. You will deliver systemic assessments and interventions for young people and their families. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, providing highly-skilled systemic interventions, conducting risk assessments, supporting staff development, and contributing to service development. This role requires a Masters or Doctorate-level qualification in Systemic Psychotherapy, and UKCP registration. Working alongside the Therapies Team, you'll receive regular supervision and professional development opportunities.

You will receive regular clinical and professional supervision and will be supported to continue developing your clinical and leadership skills as part of your ongoing career development. You will join a proactive and enthusiastic Therapies Team, as well as having access to a strong network of psychological therapists across Elysium Healthcare. You will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service users caseload, including assessing service users with complex needs, supporting families and care plans and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatment for men and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental health disorders.

*All applications must have a formal Family Therapist qualification. As a Systemic Family Therapist, you will be:

- Providing highly-skilled systemic interventions for the families of young people with severe, complex and persistent mental health problems, learning difficulties and/or developmental problems.
- Providing in-depth risk-assessments of young people who are at risk to themselves and to be able to formulate both short-term and long-term crisis planning.
- Providing evidence-based and formulation-driven systemic perspectives to multidisciplinary risk management, care planning and decision-making.
- Managing a complex caseload as the family therapist working within a multidisciplinary team, as well as facilitating groups where appropriate, such as carer support groups.
- Monitoring clinical progress through regular reviews of systemic treatment.
- Engaging and working with young people with a range of mental health needs and developmental difficulties, drawing upon your wealth of theoretical and practical knowledge.
- Supporting staff development through the provision of training, consultation, formulation meetings and reflective practice sessions.
- Contributing to service developments within the Therapies Team and wider service.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Completed a Qualifying course in Systemic Psychotherapy at Master’s or doctorate level, accredited by the AFT
- Registration with UKCP
- Experience working with adolescents and their families presenting with complex mental health needs, high-risk behaviours and neurodevelopmental conditions in a mental health setting.

A trauma-informed care model is used to focus on length of stay to make sure individuals are able to move as quickly and safely as possible from the service to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them.

Service users could be suffering from Acute mental illness, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Personality Disorder, Dual diagnosis, Self-harm, Substance misuse issues.
