### Job overview

The SWLEOC Scheduling Team coordinates approximately 450+ surgeries per month, fully utilising six theatres per day, six days a week. The scheduling team have to manage to 55 consultants schedules across the partnership complete nearly 6000 surgeries per year. The SWLEOC Administrative Support Team schedules around 600 virtual nurse appointments and 600 face-to-face Physical assessments each month.

The 2 successful candidate will be adaptable, dependable, resilient, organised, and possess strong communication skills. Candidates will be required to liaise with schedulers, nursing teams, and senior management while effectively prioritising workloads.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress their careers within the NHS and build strong professional networks across GESH and our partner trusts. They will also develop their knowledge of medical terminology and gain a deeper understanding of surgical procedures and perioperative care.

- Report to management any findings or issues
- Updating spreadsheets and localised computer systems

- Evidence of ability to prioritise workload with some direction.
- Proactive within scope of role.
- Able to identify when to seek advice and escalate complaints/problems.
- Team player with collegial working style and willingness to share responsibility
- Flexible, responsive approach to work.
- Committed to a “Patient/Client First” philosophy.
- Able to deal very sensitively and non-confrontationally with colleagues, patients and relatives
- Computer literate
- Task prioritisation and organisation skills
- Understanding of the RTT Pathway ( not essential )
- Understanding of ICLIP  ( not essential)
- At Least 6 months experience and administration environment
