## Job Content

The LighthouseSalary | £28.366 Full Time role of hours per week. The Lighthouse has an opportunity for a Support worker to join our team. The Lighthouse is a 5 bed specialist residential home for young people aged 13–18 with complex mental health needs and associated risk taking behaviours. We are situated within walking distance from Stroud town centre allowing access from all major bus and train routes into the town. Our aim here at The Lighthouse is to ensure that the young people we invest in have the best residential experience in a therapeutic and homely environment. Care here is individually tailored to meet their needs and ensure the best outcome by investing in our young people’s future. You will be responsible for the supervision of our young people who display a range of behaviours relating to their mental health following their previous trauma. Participating in activities and engaging our young people around the home and within their daily routine as well as ensuring their educational needs are met.Lighthouse benefits from local bus connections and access to nearby rail services in Stroud, with good road links via surrounding routes.

### What you'll be doing

- Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
- Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
- Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
