An exciting opportunity has arisen within First Response Services for a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be based at either Clock View or Hollins Park Hospital.This is a rewarding role supporting individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. You will play a key part in helping service users access the right support, achieve positive outcomes, and develop safety plans in collaboration with clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supporting service users in crisis through compassionate, person-centred care.
- Providing information, guidance, and signposting to appropriate services.
- Managing calls via NHS 111 mental health service, including receiving and escalating referrals from professionals, family members, and carers.
- Assisting nursing staff with urgent assessments.
- Empowering individuals to take an active role in their care and promote self-determination.

This role is ideal for someone who is calm under pressure, an excellent communicator, and committed to supporting people at some of the most challenging times in their lives.

### Main duties of the job

To carry out assigned duties, involving supporting and signposting service users, family, carers and other professionals under the guidance and indirect supervision of a qualified nurse.

To report to the qualified nurse any concerns observations made whilst providing care to service-users.

To take part in a 24 hour system of rostering including internal rotation.
