### JOB SUMMARY

The Support Services team is a division of Nursing & Midwifery and Director of AHP and User Experience providing Catering, Environmental Cleaning Portering Laundry, Smoke Free, Security and Car Parking Services for a variety of locations within the Trust.

The Service Assistant who is part of the Support Service Team supports Medical and Nursing staff in providing a comprehensive range of high –quality, customer focused service to patients, Trust staff and visitors.

The Service Assistants will carry out a wide range of tasks relating to Support Services and will be allocated various tasks as appropriate from those detailed below

### KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

To carry out a wide range of tasks relating to Support Services including but not limited to:

Movement

Cleaning / Housekeeping

Food Production / Service

Security

Patient movement

Waste collection

Delivery / collection of stores / mail / food / specimens

Bleep calls
