### Trauma & Orthopaedic Department - West Suffolk Hospital

### 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

We are seeking an ambitious candidate to join the Orthopaedic Department here at the West Suffolk Hospital as a support secretary.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a high level of comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Orthopaedic Department.

As well as having the required typing qualifications you will also have excellent telephone skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate appropriately with patients, relatives and professional staff within the department.

The successful applicant will also be required to cross cover for colleagues during periods of leave.

- Transcribing dictation and actioning clinic outcomes · Dealing with patient enquiries · Attending meetings · Clinic changes · Monitoring departmental pools and actioning messages

This vacancy is initially for a fixed term of 12 months and has arisen due to the addition of 2 new Orthopaedic Consultants

This post is 37.5 hours spread over 4 or 5 days a week - this can be negotiated with the suitable applicant ensuring it covers the service.
