Join our friendly Procurement and Supply Department and play a key role keeping wards and departments at Queen Alexandra Hospital and St Marys Hospital, Isle of Wight, stocked and ready to treat patients.

What we are looking for:

- Enthusiastic team player with a positive, customer focused attitude.
- Keyboard and basic IT skills; full training on our Inventory Management System will be given.
- Good verbal communication and the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and clinical teams.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to undertake light lifting and follow manual handling guidance.
- The skill to prioritise your workload whilst understanding that you will have to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in supply chain, stock control, retail, hospitality or a hospital environment is desirable but not essential.

Whilst our Procurement team is based at Lakeside North Harbour, our Supply Chain Teams are based at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth as well as at St. Marys in Newport IoW.

### Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities:

- Operate the Inventory Management System to process, track and replenish stock.
- Use an advanced Inventory Management System, utilising barcode technology to order medical and surgical products.
- Pick, pack and deliver medical and surgical supplies to wards and departments.
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock audits.
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service to clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Prioritise workload to meet deadlines and respond to urgent requests.
- Perform light manual handling as required and follow health and safety procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of supply chain processes.
