The Role

To support the Board’s procurement, logistics and supply chain activities, ensuring these are carried-out in compliance with the Board Standing Financial Instructions and deliver continuity of supply through providing an efficient and professional service to all wards and departments

Please note this is a fixed term post until March 2027. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

In this key role, you will:

- Responsible for the purchase of all delegated goods and services for the Board, in compliance with the Board's standing financial instructions as instructed by the first-line supervisor and senior management.
- Offer professional supplies support to all user departments including product information and pricing where appropriate.
- Providing provisional pricing and sourcing information for indents/requests from wards and departments whilst ensuring the utilisation of NHS Scotland and health board frameworks and contracts to the maximum extent.
- Expediting of all orders to ensure delivery timescales are met and appropriate paper-work passed for invoice processing.

What You'll Bring:

- Knowledge in using an integrated computer system is essential and experience in maintaining and updating system information is necessary.
- The post holder must be highly IT literate.
- The post holder should have 4 Standard Grades or be educated to SVQ2 level or equivalent.

Or

- The post holder should have 2 years’ experience in delivering customer focussed services and have strong communication and team-working skills are necessary.

Please note: A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
