### Job overview

A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.

### Main duties of the job

You will work as a Supplies Site Lead at Scarborough Hospital with the requirement to cover at Bridlington Hospital as required, to coordinate teams, managing all goods delivered, as well as the material management service who are responsible for stock management at ward level.

You  will work to ensure an efficient and effective customer focused service is provided for all staff across the site ensuring they can deliver excellent patient care.

You will, investigate and resolve a range of problems relating to stock  ordering and stock availability, chasing outstanding orders as required and will determine your own work within established parameters, referring to your manager when necessary.

You will lead, supervise and train a team of staff on-site to ensure a consistent service is deliver to stakeholders across the site.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of management of staff
- Experience of working in a stock management position

**Desirable**

- NHS Experience
- Experience of using inventory management systems

### Application

**Essential**

- Vocational qualification level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience in the management of staff
- Experience of working in a stock management position whether that is receipt & distribution (warehouse) or stock management (materials management)
- knowledge of risk assessments in busy working environments.

**Desirable**

- Professional qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience of using inventory management systems
- Qualified to operate pallet trucks/ delivery trucks.

### Skills/Knowledge

- Additional knowledge acquired through training and experience to diploma or equivalent level.
- Able to work alone and on own initiative, making decisions as necessary. Able to organise and prioritise heavy workloads for self and for team. Able to pro-actively manage teams. Able to manage change.
- Flexible approach, able to cope with change and uncertainty & Strong team player, highly enthusiastic and motivated.
- Ability to travel across the various Trust sites and provide support as required to maintain business continuity
- Excellent communicator, able to persuade and negotiate. Excellent problem solving ability
- IT literate and evidence of modern working practices & Respects and safeguards confidential information.

- A Valid UK Driving Licence
