At Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Superintendent Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team to lead our Outpatient Pharmacy Service.  You will be a Pharmacist with significant hospital pharmacy outpatient experience, strong business acumen and well versed in regulatory legislation ensuring that any changes to procurement, dispensing, and supply activities comply with all current legal and statutory obligations (e.g. GPhC, MHRA, CQC) for pharmacies.

GOSH Pharmacy have been on a transformation journey to modernise the Pharmacy Service and facilities to deliver expert care to our paediatric population. Working with the Outpatient Pharmacy Board, you will be the accountable officer on creation and ongoing maintenance of an independent Outpatient Pharmacy in preparation for the future developments including, but not limited to, the GOSH Children’s Cancer Centre (CCC).

We are looking for a highly skilled, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to support our journey as we look forward to new ways of working, pushing digital boundaries and assuring a smooth transition of pharmaceutical care for our patients and families.

This role will involve direct management of an independent company budget, set up of commercial opportunities, ensuring a reportable forecast for the management board, and working across multiple services and across internal and external stakeholders. You will create a new Outpatient Pharmacy Team and operating model providing new opportunities for the wider profession within the specialist environment.

PLEASE NOTE: This role sits within the commercial outpatient pharmacy service. While we are working towards offering access to the NHS Pension Scheme, this is not yet approved and therefore does not currently form part of the employment package. Further details will be available once approved.

- Previous experience of working in a Wholly Owned Subsidiary Pharmacy or equivalent
- Experience in procurement of medicines (including unlicensed medicines)
- Experience of working within a Hospital Outpatient or Inpatient Pharmacy setting
- Experience of being part of a regulator inspection process (e.g. GPhC)
- Experience of securing and managing pharmaceutical services as per the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework
- Experience in working within/providing a pharmacy service within paediatrics

### Academic/Professional qualification/Training

**Essential**

- Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- MPharm or equivalent or BPharm/BSc Hons for those qualified before 2002.
- Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent Post-graduate qualification

- Management qualification
- Independent Prescriber
