On that basis, applicants who have already completed the BTEC level 3 Diploma in Principles and Practice of Pharmacy Technicians (or recognised equivalent qualifications) will not be shortlisted. Instead, there are current and regular opportunities to apply for qualified pharmacy technicians within BHSCT, and candidates are invited to apply directly to qualified roles through those opportunities. o Student Pharmacy technicians will undertake the BTEC level 3 Diploma in “Principles and Practise of Pharmacy Technicians” and subject to successful completion within 2 academic years, will automatically transition to Pharmacy Technicians at B4 payscale and to the current Pharmacy Technician job description + contract. o Those recruited as Student pharmacy technicians will be recruited as B4 but pay will be according to the following principles: ? Those currently employed in B2 or B3 roles within the NHS will be paid based on years’ experience in the NHS / HSC at an equivalent Band.** ?
