This is an evidence-based approach for working in a community setting with people with Complex Emotional Needs/ a diagnosis of personality disorder. You will receive training and ongoing supervision to ensure that you develop and maintain the necessary skills for working with this client group. Supervision will be provided by a Clinical Psychologist within the team. We are keen to receive applications from Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and Clinical Associates in Psychology. You will need to have a distinct interest in working with this client group to get the most from this position.

Main duties of the job

You will hold dual team membership. You will be based in Carshalton and Wallington Integrated Recovery Hub (IRH- a community care team) at Jubilee Health Centre, and line-managed in this setting. However, your clinical duties will fall under the SCM Team, where you will receive your clinical supervision. In the SCM team you will be part of a group of staff who are highly motivated to support clients with Complex Emotional Needs/ a diagnosis of personality disorder, and to do so compassionately and creatively. You will be involved in the assessment and treatment of clients, providing individual and group-based interventions within the SCM framework. You will hold your own caseload, and provide telephone coaching to clients between session, as necessary (within working hours). You will receive training and supervision in SCM and other key clinical approaches/ techniques.
