### Job overview

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership provides Clinical Logistics Transport Service across all Health Boards in Wales via its Health Courier Service, and is seeking a Stores Operative/HGV Driver to join this service based in the South Wales Area based at Llansamlet Laundry.

This post is primarily for the transportation of clean and dirty linen from Llansamlet Laundry Service to community and acute sites across South Wales.

### Main duties of the job

As a Health Courier Service Stores Operative/HGV Driver you will be responsible for stock items in stores centres and also for the safe and secure transport, distribution and replenishment of laundry and you may where required occasionally be asked to support other divisions transporting stock and miscellaneous items.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The post holders maybe required to support other HGV services at other bases in times of need.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Welsh language skills are desirable
