## Person Specification

### Essential

**Essential**

- Minimum 2 years experience working in sterile services/decontamination or a similar healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of decontamination processes, infection control, and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to supervise, motivate, and support staff, including training and mentoring.
- Good organisational and time-management skills to manage workflow and meet service targets.
- Competence in maintaining accurate records, documentation, and traceability systems.
- Effective communication skills with staff, clinical teams, and management.
- Ability to problem-solve and act independently to maintain service continuity.
- Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required.

**Desirable**

- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within sterile services.
- Knowledge of HTM 01-01 and other national decontamination standards.
- Experience with audits, quality assurance, or process improvement initiatives.
- Formal qualification in sterile services or related healthcare field.
