This is an exciting opportunity for three permanent Band 6 and one Band 6 to cover maternity leave to join the stroke physiotherapy team at Frimley Park Hospital.   These roles have been created in response to the need to meet the recommendations of the National Clinical Guidelines for Stroke.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and forward thinking individuals to contribute to the clinical and managerial aspects of our growing team.

The role is based at Frimley Park Hospital and involves seven day working and participation in the respiratory on call rota.

- Neuro handing and treatment skills.
- Assessment for rehab pathways and discharge planning.

- Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, formulate individualised management and treatment plans, and implement a range of specialised interventions.
- Maintain professional and legal accountability for all aspects of clinical practice,  including accurate patient documentation and adherence to professional guidelines.
- Demonstrate expertise in clinical governance and risk management, ensuring that treatment plans are supported by current evidence.
- Utilise advanced manual techniques and therapeutic handling, often requiring moderate physical effort.
- Safely use and ensure the maintenance of physiotherapy equipment, adhering to departmental policies.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience as a band 5 in the NHS incorporating all core rotations
- On call and weekend working
- Training and supervision to support all physiotherapy staff and students.

**Desirable**

- Evidence of experience at Band 6 level in the NHS in neuro
- Evidence of managerial or leadership training
- Experience of service development

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- HCPC Registration
- Physiotherapy Degree
- Evidence of recent study in relevant clinical area

**Desirable**

- Member of clinical interest group

### Knowledge and Skills

**Essential**

- Evidence of experience in supervision and appraisal
- Experience of clinical reasoning in stroke
- Evidence of effective communication skills
- Clear, concise written report
