We are a small friendly team who work well together to deliver excellent patient care. We undertake a variety of surgical procedures under local anaesthetic. All staff rotate within the unit and work in all areas - admission and discharge lounges, theatre and recovery. As a result of coronavirus (COVID -19) the department of plastic and reconstructive surgery are now undertaking all surgery for hand trauma at Withington Community Hospital. All surgery will be performed using a local anaesthetic technique (wide awake) approach. The Treatment Centre is a clinical placement area for student nurses so we are keen to recruit staff with a teaching and assessing qualification who will undertake the role of practice assessor/supervisor. You must be flexible to and able to work between the hours 07.30-19.00.
