Located in South Manchester, Priory Hospital Altrincham is set within a beautiful Grade II listed building, providing the perfect setting for you to focus on your recovery.

### What you'll be doing

- Act as a named nurse, working with patients and their families/carers to assess, plan and deliver personalised nursing care.
- Monitor patients’ wellbeing and progress, recognising and responding promptly to changes in their mental health and care needs.
- Develop, review and update nursing care plans, ensuring care remains person-centred and reflects patient choice.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate effective patient care and contribute to clinical decision-making.
- Take responsibility for prioritising and delegating nursing duties during shifts, including acting as nurse in charge when required.
- Support a safe and therapeutic environment, ensuring safeguarding, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty requirements are followed.
- Contribute to clinical supervision, reflective practice and the development of colleagues, including supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.

## Person Specification

### What you'll bring to the role

**Essential**

- Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration.
- Completed preceptorship programme.
- Minimum 6 months post-registration experience.
- Good understanding of NMC guidelines and professional practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment.
- Evidence of continued professional development following registration.
- Experience assessing, planning and reviewing person-centred nursing care.
- Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience supporting or developing newly qualified nursing staff.
