The service is committed to research, innovative clinical practice and the delivery of compassionate care. CTCCU are looking for enthusiastic, motivated nurses to join our dynamic team. CTCCU is a 21 bedded unit providing level two and three care to patients following cardiac, major aortic and thoracic surgery, and to those with acute cardiac medical conditions. CTCCU is a challenging, exciting and supportive environment which will facilitate the ongoing advancement of your specialist critical care skills. There are opportunities to develop skills in invasive and non-invasive modes of ventilation and weaning, the use of ventricular assist devices, cardiac output monitoring and haemofiltration. Additionally, acute arrhythmia management advanced ECG interpretation and management of IABP therapy. All successful candidates will have a 3 month supernumerary period with support from a mentor and a comprehensive competency based development package.
