Within endoscopy no two days are the same, we are looking to recruit highly motivated, dynamic, forward-thinking nurses, to help provide a safe high-quality service to patients trust wide. The endoscopy service provides a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both inpatients and outpatients carried out within our 2 procedure rooms and our therapeutic work carried out in Xray department with a specialised team. ### Main duties of the job Our nurses ensure the safe admission, recovery and discharge of patients, as well as assisting our Consultants and Nurse Endoscopists within the procedure room. Patients attend the endoscopy department for various endoscopic procedures; colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy and as well as varied therapeutic procedures. Patients are referred into the endoscopy service via different routes; GP referrals, surveillance programmes, or referred via the multi-disciplinary team. We are proud to provide a comprehensive in house training programme which ensures nurses feel supported and competent in their abilities.
