Ward T3 have an exciting opportunity for a staff nurse to join the Vascular surgical team.  Ward T3 has opportunities for staff nurses  to develop skills and knowledge in caring for acutely ill patients pre and post operatively.

What you’ll do:

- Assess patient care needs and design, implement, and evaluate tailored care plans
- Act as a named care provider for a specific group of patients while supporting the wider team
- Assist in managing and organising daily work, ensuring clear and effective communication
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff, fostering a positive and collaborative environment
- Play a key role in supervising and assessing learners and unregistered staff, acting as a mentor and named supervisor

### Skills & Abilities

**Essential**

- Demonstrate Evidence based clinical knowledge
- Communicates succinctly, clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing
- Ability to coordinate your workload and supervise members of the team, ensuring high quality, safe and effective patient care

**Desirable**

- Blood & Cannulation
- Previous experience in acute surgery
- Experience of the use of clinical systems
- Demonstrate initiative to proactively problem solve with a solution focus
- Ability to use reflective practice, to continuously improve the standard of patient care

### Knowledge, Training & Experience

**Essential**

- To demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate carea care
- To demonstrate an interest in the specialty
- Demonstrates evidence based clinical knowledge
- IT Skills
- Proven post-registration experience

**Desirable**

- Experience with complex wound care

### Qualifications & Professional Registration

**Essential**

- Degree / Diploma in Nursing studies or equivalent
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Part 1 Adult / General Level 1 or 2)

**Desirable**

- Experience of working in the hospital setting
