- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on our 21 Bedded Inpatient  Surgical Unit
- Care for a wide range of surgical speciality's including Gynaecology, General Surgery, Ears Nose and Throat (including tracheostomy and laryngectomy care), Orthopaedic and Cardio Version procedures
- Support patients electively and inpatients who are coming to the unit for procedures.

- Past surgical experience ideally with ENT experience

Additional Responsibilities:

- Play a vital role in the education, development, supervision, and assessment of learners and unregistered staff
- Support departmental clinical governance initiatives and participate in audit reviews

- Uphold professionalism in line with the NMC Codes of Professional Conduct

Essential Attributes:

- A reliable team player with strong interpersonal skills

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Full NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse (1)
- Nursing degree or equivalent (1)
- Evidence of continued professional development (1)

**Desirable**

- Evidence of being a student supervisor/assessor.

### Knowledge and Skills

**Essential**

- Commitment to developing knowledge and skills in surgical nursing
- Post Registration Experience

**Desirable**

- Proven experience of working in ENT / Tracheostomy trained
- knowledge of surgical procedures undertaken on Ward 12
