### Medical Ward 1

### Staff Nurse (RGN or RSCN)

### Band 5 £34,544 - £43,039 Pro rata

### Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 per annum

### 24.12 hours per week Fixed Term post to March 2027

Medical Ward 1 is part of the Integrated Medical Unit. The ward deals with a wide range of acute medical conditions and has a designated 4 Bedded High Dependency Unit (HDU) and 3 Paediatric beds. The HDU provides facilities for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and invasive medical procedures and investigations. Day/Night Rotation. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic staff nurse (RGN or RSCN) who will have:

§ Commitment to the delivery of evidence based care.

§ Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a flexible team orientated approach.

§ A Paediatric /HDU qualification is desirable but not essential for this post. Applicants will be expected to take part in looking after paediatric patients.

Applicants who are due to qualify as a Registered Nurse in the coming months are welcome to apply for the post. Any offer of employment made will be conditional upon successful completion of your nursing qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) prior to commencement of employment.
