The Trained Nurse role requires the post holder to be committed to the ongoing development of the ward and multi-disciplinary team working.   We aim to deliver the highest standard of patient and rehabilitative care to our predominantly elderly patients. The ideal applicant will possess a good level of organisational, communication and clinical skills relevant to the post and be able to act as a positive role model. You will be undertaking a range of Early, Late and Night duties on a rotational basis in order to support 24-hour nursing care, 7 days per week. Although based at Launceston Community Hospital, a flexible working approach is required to support other hospitals in the locality as service needs require. We require motivated, forward thinkers with a “can-do” attitude and a passion for nursing. In return we will support you in your career and involve you in the future development of services. ### Main duties of the job The assessment of care needs and the development and implementation of programmes of care in the ward setting To be a team leader and provide all forms of nursing care without direct supervision. To provide mentorship to pre and post registration students and Healthcare Assistants undertaking the National Vocational Awards.
