Fox Ward is a 10 bedded ward in the Blood, Cells and Cancer directorate caring for blood disorders, immunodeficiencies and leukaemia's. We care for patients needing a Bone Marrow or Stem Cell transplant, Gene therapy or Thymus transplant. It is one of a select few paediatric treatment centres in the UK to offer CAR T-cell therapy among other specialist immunotherapy treatments. Fox ward will allow you to gain specialist BMT skills and we will support you to build confidence in high dependence nursing. We can offer a number of development and educational opportunities. We will value your previous experience and support you to develop your knowledge. We can offer speciality courses and various accredited modules to help you gain the relevant skills. We will ensure your development plan is tailored to your needs. Fox Ward provides a positive nurse led working culture, with safe staffing levels (nursing ward ratios are on average 1 nurse to 2 patients) that enables you to do your job well, supporting your professional & academic development.
