We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our busy Endoscopy service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures in a dynamic day surgery environment. You will work as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team, supporting patients through admission, procedure, recovery and discharge. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

- Royal Alexandra Hospital
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:30
- The successful candidates are required to demonstrate flexibility
- Multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde
- Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours

Key responsibilities:

- Deliver safe, effective, and person-centred nursing care to patients attending for endoscopic procedures
- Assess patient needs and plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based care in partnership with patients and the MDT
- Provide physical, technical and emotional support to patients throughout their endoscopy journey
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in line with NMC and organisational standards
- Contribute to a safe clinical environment by adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
- Support and supervise junior staff, learners and healthcare support workers as required
- Demonstrate flexibility by working across endoscopy rooms, recovery and other areas of the day surgery unit

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

- Registered Adult Nurse with a valid NMC registration
- Ability to practise safely and effectively within professional, ethical and legal frameworks
- Previous experience within endoscopy or day surgery is desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support anxious or distressed patients and relatives
- Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development and reflective practice
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage competing priorities
- Confidence in using clinical equipment and electronic patient record systems
