Elizabeth Fry Ward is a 27-bedded ward specialising in Renal medicine. We work closely with a range of multidisciplinary teams and work as advocates to ensure our patients have the best plan of care to ensure they have a positive journey throughout their hospital stay. It is a demanding ward with acute patients, transferred from AMU/A&E and ITU, but we work closely as a team and deal with the day to day pressures with positivity and high levels of energy. So, if you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, where no day is the same, we'd welcome your application today! ### Main duties of the job To provide and maintain the highest possible standards of patient care. To develop and maintain good ward management and organisational skills. To provide effective support for the ward manager and sister/charge nurse, ensuring self development in the day-to-day management of the ward. Under the supervision of the ward / department manager to work on delegated projects relating to local policy and service development. To work towards an awareness of service delivery plans. To be involved actively in the implementation of Trust policies and procedures at ward / department level, reinforcing their use.
