The role:

We are looking for an experienced, forward‑thinking, neuroaffirming practitioner to join the East Dunbartonshire Speech and Language Therapy Team. This is a front‑facing clinical post, supporting children and families with a wide range of communication, neurodevelopmental, and eating and drinking differences. The role involves working collaboratively with the ND service pathway and the wider children’s workforce to create supportive environments for communication differences.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide care aligned with person‑centred care and Realistic Medicine principles.
- Support children and families with communication, neurodevelopmental, and eating/drinking differences.
- Work collaboratively with the ND service pathway and the wider children’s workforce.
- Build relationships to help others understand and support communication differences.
- Deliver flexible, community‑based care across multiple settings.
- Engage in robust clinical supervision, governance, and ongoing practice development.

- Degree in Speech and Language Pathology (Ordinary/Honours).
- Certificate to Practice as awarded by RCSLT.
- Membership of RCSLT.
- Registration with HCPC.
- Post‑graduate clinical experience working with a complex paediatric caseload.
