We are excited to offer a fixed term opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist Advanced Practitioner. This full-time role (24.75 hours per week) will allow you to make a real difference across the North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent area, with a base in Bentilee. You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of patients, contribute to service development and take a leading role in shaping the delivery of speech and language therapy within the community. ### Main duties of the job What We’re Looking for We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist who is able to work independently and is committed to delivering excellent patient care. The post holder will provide specialist assessment, intervention and advice in the clinical areas of communication, dysphagia and voice. You will be responsible for a defined population of service users across a variety of settings, including clinics, patients’ homes and care homes. The role involves assessing complex needs and developing, implementing and evaluating appropriate care and support packages. The successful candidate will manage a complex caseload and contribute to supervision, training and leadership within the team. They will also work with the leadership team on delegated management tasks and contribute to service development and improvement. We are looking for someone who demonstrates initiative, creativity in problem solving and strong clinical competence. You should be happy to travel to see patients in locations that suit them best and engage effectively with patients and their families.
