Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team, using strategies to overcome communication barriers and support informed consent, mental capacity assessments and best-interest decisions where required. Maintain accurate electronic clinical records and manage clinical risk in line with professional, legal and Trust standards, including manual handling and safeguarding. Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to support safe discharge and continuity of care. Demonstrate advanced assessment, manual therapy and rehabilitation skills while managing complex presentations. Represent physiotherapy at MDT meetings and contribute to coordinated patient care. Organise and prioritise workload, adapting to changing clinical demands. Support the safe use of rehabilitation equipment and supervise, teach and appraise junior staff, assistants and students, deputising for senior staff when required.
