The Crisis team provide assessment and brief intervention to all young people presenting in crisis presenting to the hospital A&E departments, whereas the ICCS see young people at home and in the community supporting Community CAMHS services to provide intensive interventions that are designed to reduce the need for inpatient admission or support discharge from inpatient services. ICCS provides a gatekeeping function to all potential requests for inpatient admission.
