This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality clinical research studies within mental health services, supporting the development of evidence-based care & improving outcomes for service users. The post holder will work closely with multidisciplinary clinical & research teams to support the delivery of commercial & non-commercial studies across a range of mental health specialties. The role will involve participant assessment, recruitment, study procedures, safety monitoring, & collaboration with sponsors, investigators, and external partners. The successful candidate will have an interest in clinical research, excellent communication skills, & a commitment to improving patient care through research innovation. ### Main duties of the job The post holder will be required to work as a Sub-Investigator, progressing to Principal Investigator, on commercial & non-commercial clinical trials including Phase II & Phase III. They will be responsible for the safety & wellbeing of participants during clinical trials & ensuring research is conducted in accordance with relevant guidelines including International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) Good Clinical Practice.They will be required to represent the Trust at various internal/external stakeholder meetings including Investigator meetings (sometimes international), board reviews & RDN meetings. Our Offer: - NHS Specialty grade £63,696 - £102,689 per annum + £149 fringe pro rata for part time - Up to £2000/year CPD allowance subject to policy requirements - NHS pension employers contribution 23.7%  from day one - Company Car Lease Scheme - Discounted Nuffield Gym Membership ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please see the attached Job description that clearly states all the requirements needed to carry out this role. ## Person Specification ### Eligibiltiy **Essential** - Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment. ### Qualifications **Essential** - MBBS or equivalent recognised medical qualification. - Full medical registration with a license to practice. - Obtain Section 12(2) MHA and will be expected to renew this approval according to agreed procedures.
