Applications are invited for the part-time (1.5PA) post of Specialty Doctor in Rheumatology – provision of injections at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a substantive post to commence as soon as possible.

### Main duties of the job

The main duties of this post are to include:

- Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of Rheumatology cases
- Delivery of joint and soft-tissue injection clinics (averaging 1.5 clinics per week) with adherence to the Local Safety Standard for Invasive Procedures (LocSSIP) for Joint aspiration and injection
- Training of Rheumatology (and sometimes other General Medical) trainees in techniques for joint and soft-tissue injections
- To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance, Quality Improvement and audit
- To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME)

The candidate will need to be fully registered with the GMC. The candidate would be expected to be able to provide evidence for interest and experience in musculoskeletal disorders and appropriate expertise in joint and soft-tissue injections. The candidate would need to be able to demonstrate suitable experience in teaching and examining.
