The persons appointed will be based primarily at either Woodlands Hospice on the Aintree site or the new specialist palliative care in-patient unit at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital site, undertaking duties within the in-patient palliative care settings but with the option of supporting other aspects of the ambulatory (Woodlands and Marie Curie Hospices) and hospital-based services (AUH/RLUH site) depending on skills and experience. **Please note this vacancy may close early once sufficient applications have been received** ### Main duties of the job The post holder’s main duties will be to support the patients and their carers admitted to the in-patient unit at Woodlands Hospice/ LHCH palliative care unit or presenting to the IMPaCT medical clinics. The post-holder, depending on level of experience, may also work alongside the Hospital Specialist Palliative Care teams to review patients under the care of the service within the acute hospitals and the Community Specialist Palliative Care teams (AUH site) to undertake crisis intervention domiciliary visits for patients whose preferred place of care is home.
