This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large, forward-thinking unit that delivers a comprehensive maxillofacial service to a wide population base. You will be joining a supportive and experienced team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality maxillofacial care. Responsibilities will include elective and emergency work across the breadth of the specialty, appropriate to experience and training level. Participation in departmental meetings, teaching, and quality improvement activities is encouraged. This post is ideal for candidates seeking to broaden their maxillofacial experience in a busy unit with exposure to a wide procedural mix and complex casework. If you are looking to develop your skills in a vibrant department, we look forward to receiving your application and would welcome informal discussions with our joint Clinical Directors. ### Main duties of the job A full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery is practised within our department including dentoalveolar surgery, management of maxillofacial trauma, correction of facial deformity, head and neck oncology surgery, microsurgical reconstruction and extensive skin malignancy management. We also provide a significant contribution to head and neck cancer pathways, reconstructive surgery, and complex facial deformity correction, supported by experienced multidisciplinary teams. The department benefits from on-site facilities including dedicated theatre time, a minor ops theatre of which Maxillofacial is the main user and an on-site maxillofacial laboratory.
