We are recruiting enthusiastic and dynamic people to join our supportive and friendly team during this exciting time and as such, we are looking to appoint an innovative and high performing Specialty Doctor with independent out-patient clinic practice specialising in Medical Retina and Emergency sub-specialties. The department is a teaching environment supporting the educational and clinical development of junior trainees and non-medical teams (including Nurse Practitioners, ACPs, Orthoptists and Optometrists) to support their development within extended roles. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the Royal Eye Unit where our multidisciplinary team see over 70,000 patients per year. We offer a full range of hospital eye care services including specialist outpatient clinics, admitted care and an acute referral service for eye emergencies. This is a substantive role based in the Royal Eye Unit at Kingston Hospital. The post is full time, 10 PAs per week. There is no on-call element and the post holder will be actively involved in supporting the Acute Referral Clinic (ARC). ### Main duties of the job The post holder is expected to: - Provide clinical advice and where appropriate treatment. - Help develop the service in accordance with Trust policy. - Support the training and supervise trainees as appropriate - Demonstrate professional excellence and efficient delivery of care in accordance with clinical case load associated with the post. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Please see attached job description for further information relating to duties and responsibilities of the role ### Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
