This 12-month fixed-term post offers an excellent opportunity to work in a welcoming and supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality mental health care within the community. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and a wide range of professionals, supporting a service that is focused on recovery, collaboration and meeting the diverse needs of our local population. Closing date: Sunday 30th August Shortlisting: w/c 31st August Interview: w/c 14th September TBC ### Main duties of the job The successful candidate will provide assessment, treatment and ongoing care for adults aged 16–65 with complex mental health needs across the Craven locality. Working alongside an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist and a well-established multidisciplinary team, the post holder will deliver high-quality, recovery-focused care, supporting service users to achieve positive outcomes within a community setting. The role includes assessing new referrals, undertaking medical reviews, attending daily team huddles, multidisciplinary case review meetings, allocation and leadership meetings, and contributing to the ongoing management of patients within the CMHT caseload. The post holder will undertake home visits where appropriate, provide specialist advice to GPs, liaison services and hospital colleagues, support Mental Health Act related work, and contribute to the management of urgent clinical presentations. As a senior member of the medical workforce, the successful candidate will contribute to medical leadership across the service, working alongside Consultant Psychiatrists to support service development, clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities.
