These posts offer a variety of interests including, theatre work, obstetric anaesthesia, intensive care and resident on call duties. A willingness to work flexibly is essential. The Specialty Doctors are co-ordinated by a dedicated Consultant and the Trust has also appointed a Tutor to specifically support the educational and developmental needs of the Specialty Doctor group in all specialties. Royal Derby Hospital a major oncology centre providing treatment for upper and lower GI, urological, gynaecological, breast and head and neck malignancies. We also host regional units for hand surgery and bariatrics, and have a large clinical commitment to major orthopaedics, trauma and emergency care with a helipad and state of the art imaging services. Royal Derby Hospital has a 16 bedded level 2/3 Intensive Care unit and a 16 bedded post-surgical step-down unit. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Applicants must hold full GMC Registration with a licence to practise at time of application, be able to demonstrate a wide range of experience in all aspects of anaesthesia and have worked in the specialty for a minimum of two years.
