We are seeking an experienced full-time Specialty Doctor who will work at Cygnet Churchill and provide psychiatric care on Palm Court, our 17 bed male mental health acute service. Please note this a FTC for 3 months to provide cover for September, October and November. Palm Court provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. With a focus on stabilisation, we support service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills and prepare for independent life back in the community. ### Main duties of the job - Provide high quality treatment under the direction of a Consultant Psychiatrist - Assess referrals & undertake mental state examinations of service users - Participate in weekly ward rounds & attend multidisciplinary meetings - Attend Care Programme Approach & Section 117 meetings & mental health review tribunals - Provide up-to-date clinical information at all meetings - Ensure that medical decisions are implemented as planned - Audit medical services & ensure compliance with GMC & other professional guidelines - Uphold policies & procedures and contribute to service governance & development - Participate in the On call rota in line with the needs of the region ### About us Cygnet have been providing a national network of high-quality specialist mental health services for more than 30 years.
