The ED Team are dedicated, highly experienced and are keen to support the development of new staff joining the team. We currently have 30 WTE team members in post and so we are a great well resourced and supportive team to join. We are looking to appoint a Band 6/7 (dependant on experience) who have a professional qualification and registration as an AHP, Nurse, Social Worker or HCPC registered professional. The post holder will need a sound knowledge and experience of the needs of young people and their families who present with a significant eating disorder and how to apply psychological approaches in their treatment.  The evidence-based intervention is FT-AN and it would be helpful for the post holder to have knowledge of this intervention. ### Main duties of the job The post holder will work alongside colleagues within the MDT to provide evidence-based treatment to the young people and families throughout Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County who present with a significant eating disorder.  The MDT meet on a weekly basis to consider all referrals into the team; discuss assessments and for complex case discussion, of which the post holder will contribute to this and bring their knowledge and expertise to support the team processes and reflections. You will offer specialist assessment and treatment for young people who present with a significant eating disorder.  You will provide liaison, consultation and support to other agencies and work closely with our partners in paediatrics, inpatient/wider CAMHS.  You will be supported to take on a leadership role to ensure service development and provide leadership cover when required to support the service lead.  You will offer support and supervision to more junior colleagues, students, and trainees. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities For full details of role and responsibility please see attached job description.  For any further questions please contact for conversation. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies. ## Person Specification ### Skills **Essential** - Highly developed verbal and written, influencing, negotiation and communication skills - Ability to network and liaise with a wide range of other people and services - Specialist and Sound assessment skills including risk assessment and management. - Ability to manage complex cases, analyse complex information and offer sound clinical guidance advise and make effective decisions - Be committed to empowering the young people that access the service, and promoting and meeting the needs of the socially excluded ### Training **Essential** - Qualification in therapeutic approaches with young people with an eating disorder eg CBT-E, FT-AN, MFT etc **Desirable** - National Eating Disorders Training - Staff supervision training Mentorship training ### Knowledge **Essential** - Knowledge and experience of Safeguarding Adults and Children practice - Knowledge of policy drivers for eating disorder services - Knowledge of MEED and NICE guidelines and associated policies ### Experience **Essential** - Experience of working within CAMHS Eating Disorder services - Significant experience of Psychological interventions with families and patients with Eating Disorders. - Experience of working collaboratively with specialist eating disorders units, acute hospitals, GP’s etc. with the ability to coordinate and mobilise an acute care plan in high pressured situations. - Experience of caseload management, including working with clients with a wide range of mental health difficulties. - Experience of developing and delivering training packages regarding mental health and risk - Extensive post registration experience, including experience of working as a senior clinician in mental health services. **Desirable** - Knowledge and experience of leadership and the management of staff within these fields. - Experience and skills in Supervision and Appraisal of staff. ### Qualifications **Essential** - Educated to degree level and maintains professional registration such as NMC, HCPC etc, ### Values and Behaviours **Essential** - All colleagues are expected to demonstrate that they act in line with Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Values: Trust Honesty Respect Compassion Teamwork - All colleagues are expected to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and how it applies to their role.
